M&K Update - Development for Healthcare Professionals
M&K Update began in 1992 in Chester when A&E nurses Mike Roberts and Ken Russell set up M&K Update Services in response to a lack of credible CPD (Continued Professional Development). Today, M&K is regarded as the UK’s leading provider of credible and up to date short courses for all health professionals including Nurses, Midwives, Allied Health Professionals, Doctors, Dental Care Professionals and Healthcare Support Workers.
I have worked with Mike and Ken since 2003 (they were my second ever client!) and have produced an abundance of material for them over the years; leaflets, flyers, brochures, conference guides, notice boards... you name it... there's far too much to show here so I've included a very basic overview of the nature of my output for them.
Book publishing was added to their service portfolio in 2006. Their books have a reputation for being evidence-based, well presented good value for money. Using an excellent, targeted marketing strategy to bring new and existing titles to the attention of health and social care professionals all around the world, the books are quickly adopted by universities as course-readers and essential texts and they are stocked by most healthcare libraries. They are also bought by Individual practitioners seeking continuing professional development and other interested health professionals. I have worked on three of these substantial text books in recent years, the books reaching up to 500 pages.
